The startup is now running a seed funding round on SEEDRS this winter in preparation for its new app, which has 10 more exciting new features. The eco-friendly brand was awarded the most Sustainable App in 2019 due to its brilliant algorithm and exchange goods platform. It contributes to the growth of the circular economy and it is working towards sustainability by meeting two of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Its efforts for the launch of Swapabee USA were helped by popular TikTok celebrity @trademeprojekt who posted a video promoting swapabee as the place to swap. The video was seen by 4.2 million swap fans around the world. The USA which produces 237 million tonnes of wase a year is in sore need of ways to reduce waste.
Recently, Swapabee won an investment pitch competition led by many renowned personalities. It stood the winner of an investment pitch competition run by Founders Tribes. The competition was headed by Gary Stewart (Founders Tribes), Jen L Wong (COO of Reddit), Bindi Karla (Draper Espirit), Matt Turck (First Mark Capital, Srin Madipalli (Atomico), Rustin Brown (Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP), and Yvonne Bajela (Impact X Capital). The startup won the pitch ahead of 100 other companies from the UK.
