NoBanx, the online crypto technology platform is due to launch in Cyprus
Andrew Anastasiou, the 32-year-old Cypriot entrepreneur recently announced the pending launch of a new project in Cyprus, called NoBanx.
The project will be offering online and eCommerce retailers an integrated gateway and API in which they can accept crypto deposits quickly via their online shops at checkout. With a simple connection, merchants can have the “NoBanx” checkout API available for their customers and accept payments in BTC, ETH, XRP and USDT.
Speaking with Andrew Anastasiou, who was born in London on the 11th of December, 1988, he told us that “the main goal of NoBanx isn’t just to offer an innovative solution, but to also give Cyprus the opportunity to be recognised and respected and as growing and strong technology hub”. Along with this, Andrew Anastasiou explained to us that the inspiration to launch the project came after the clear need “for Cyprus to adopt new ways of growing the Fintech industry” had been observed over the past few years.
Anastasiou believes that with strong adoption and a good following with the project, it could potentially change the ecosystem in Cyprus when it comes to online payments and the acceptance of alternative payment options when purchasing anything from clothing to property. However, he does understand that this may take some time and effort to bring Cyprus to where it needs to be.
With the project’s launch date due on the 27th of May 2021, Andrew Anastasiou hopes to make some good progress with pushing the project out and achieving his mission of making Cyprus a technology hub and inspiring other Fintech companies to set up shop on the island.
